We are off! Not sure where yet but isn’t that part of the fun in a road trip adventure? Originally we had planned to hike and back pack in the mountains while taking beautiful photography. However that plan got interrupted due to the Alberta and BC fire bans which would make tent camping and hiking cold and uncomfortable. So we hatched a new plan to go in a random direction and see what we can find for a few weeks. In this case we are off to Rushing River Provincial Park to explore the area, canoe and relax and enjoy nature.
What a wonderful weekend! We managed to jump on our bikes and head out to Fort Whyte to enjoy a great afternoon taking in the sites and of course taking photos! You can check out Ewelina’s great images here.
I managed to play with the drone and that video will be uploaded soon, but a sneak peak has been uploaded to our Instagram page.
Next week we head out on location to Jasper National Park. Expect live stream drone videos, constant updates and more!
As you can see from our Instagram and Facebook feeds we have been busy travelling around southern Manitoba and Winnipeg taking great pictures and drone videos. We are currently in the process of editing, post production and publishing all of our great images and videos. These will be available in the next few days and published over the week. We had an amazing weekend touring south and south eastern Manitoba looking for great areas to take photos with camera and drone. On the way we had some unexpected changes to our plans, but managed to find even more amazing things to look at!
Friday we drove down to St. Malo to spend the evening in St. Malo Provincial Park and then headed to Senkiw Bridge near Rosa River Manitoba. While onsite we took over 15 minutes of drone video, showing the bridge and surrounding areas which will be edited and posted soon. We also took many beautiful photos which can be found in our portfolio by clicking here.
Sunday we decided to head towards the St. Michaels Church in Cook’s Creek however, this location seemed very commercial and we decided to keep on moving. After some driving we ended up going to River Road Provincial Park and looking at Captain Kelly’s House / english garden near Lock Port Manitoba. These pictures are just being processed and will appear in our portfolio shortly. We also made a quick stop at St Andrews Church just down highway 238 towards Winnipeg and took more amazing photographs.
Since it was a long weekend, we decided on Monday to drive out to Pinawa Dam Provincial Park. Wow it was busy! We took what photos we could and decided to try Blueberry Rock Trail near Lac De Bonnet, we had a great hike, took some amazing pictures and even a little drone photography. These will be coming along shortly.
Once all of these images are ready we will be posting updates on our blog. Stay tuned!
Check out our latest drone video featuring various areas on our day trip to Pine Dock Manitoba. You will see an inlet on the way up past Riverton, Calder Dock and then a small church near Gimli Manitoba.
During the filming I had to adjust the gimbal speed which was causing the rotate up of the camera to appear choppy, after this was adjusted filming went much smoother. Additionally, I had the camera set to auto instead of manual which caused some light distortion when filming the church.

This weekend we plan to be in the St. Malo area taking pictures of surrounding features including forests, rivers, and any other point of interest. If you know of some unique place within this area let us know.
We will also be within Winnipeg taking images of down town landmarks and other unique areas which make Winnipeg Special.
