We had a great weekend!  At the urging of Ewelina we headed to the Trappist Monastery in St. Norbert Manitoba and took 4K drone videos with our DJI Mavic Pro.

We got very lucky and managed to get the winter setting sun during our filming which provided a stunning golden light to our video and photos.

For fun we also brought along our new Nikon D7000 to test out our Nikon 55-200mm lens, these photos are being processed but we will put them up as soon as they are ready.

Please see our video below.

As always follow us on Facebook or Instagram and if you know of somewhere we should take video of please contact us.

We had the pleasure of being asked by Jennifer & Cole to provide family photos and drone videos for their Christmas cards!

Our day started off with wonderful warm winter weather at Assinboine Park.  It was a great day and after a few hours of photos, filming and walking we are all exhausted.

We would like to thank Jennifer & Cole for letting us take their family photos, and you can see the photos here and the video below.

If you would like to engage us to do your family holiday photos please contact us!

Last weekend Ewelina and myself managed to go on a brief road trip to Hecla Island Provincial Park.  As with all of our road trips, we randomly picked a day and a location.

We set off around 11 AM and arrived at Gull Harbor in Hecla Island around 1 PM.  It was a warm sunny winters day with a strong breeze out of the south which made drone flying almost impossible over the lake.

However that has never stopped us before and we managed to do some filming around the dock.

We have grown our photography family.  We are happy to announce we have adopted a new DJI Phantom 4 into our family.   It was named Totoro by Ewelina in honor of her favorite Studio Ghibli character from My Neighbor Totoro.

We will be using this new drone for high resolution 4K shots, 3D mapping and surveys as it is slightly more stable in higher winds then our DJI Mavic Pro (One Punch Man).

As always follow us on Instagram or contact us with ideas for what we can shoot next!

We are proud to announce we are able to provide 3D imaging, 2D detailed imaging and surveys using our new drones!

Using the latest in 4K imaging technology our drone, takes multiple pictures which are stitched together using advanced software.  These images are then turned into 3D images and can be used for plant health maps, height mapping or very detailed 2D top down surveys.   We can generate these at a fraction of the cost of an airplane or helicopter based survey.

These surveys can be used to help track crops, view current construction status, track mining and other large area exploration and even generate a 3D image of your building for promotional purposes.

Don’t forget we can also take 4K videos outdoors, indoors for your promotions and provide high quality photography as well.

Contact us today for more information!

Please see some examples below of various types of surveys we can perform.

What can we say?  We had a blast on our mini trips across Canada and we are back working through all the pictures, videos and bug bites.

Last week we spent 4 days is lovely Rushing River Provincial Park where we camped, hiked and canoed around Dogtooth lake.   To top off the trip Ewelina even managed to get fries from Ye Olde Chip truck which of course is a tradition in our family if you ever go to Kenora.    On our last day we packed up, stopped by the LCBO and headed back to Winnipeg to refuel, recharge and head out on our next trip.

Our next trip took us 8 hours to northern Saskatchewan and a small city called Prince Albert.  Here we visited with Ewelina’s family at a family reunion.  The next day we packed our bags and headed back to Winnipeg, but not without stopping to take pictures of two old abandoned churches outside of Yorkton, Saskatchewan, these pictures will be coming soon, so please check on our blog for updates.

We have also picked up a DJI Phantom4 which we are now using to provide 3D mapping, agricultural and aerial photography.   We did a sample of this on the weekend and you can view it below:

We are off! Not sure where yet but isn’t that part of the fun in a road trip adventure?  Originally we had planned to hike and back pack in the mountains while taking beautiful photography.  However that plan got interrupted due to the Alberta and BC fire bans which would make tent camping and hiking cold and uncomfortable.  So we hatched a new plan to go in a random direction and see what we can find for a few weeks.  In this case we are off to Rushing River Provincial Park to explore the area, canoe and relax and enjoy nature.
